Susan Sturm is the George M. Jaffin Professor of Regulation and Social Duty and the founding director of the Heart for Institutional and Social Change at Columbia Regulation College. Her work focuses on constructing the capability of individuals and establishments to scale back discrimination, confront racism, rework the justice system, and transfer towards full participation in instructional, authorized, and cultural establishments.
Together with quite a few scholarly publications, Professor Sturm is the writer, with Lani Guinier, of Who’s Certified: A New Democracy Discussion board on the Way forward for Affirmative Motion. Her new e book, entitled What Would possibly Be: Confronting Racism to Remodel Our Establishments, was revealed in February 2025 by Princeton College Press.
